The Roswell Clay Collective is a volunteer organization formed to support the community’s interest in the ceramic arts. Ceramics instructors, artists, and students, of the Clay Collective endeavor to enhance the educational experience at Art Center West as well as raise funds to improve the facilities at the studios.
Becoming a Member
Membership to the Roswell Clay Collective is open to all students of Art Center West - from the beginner artist who is just starting to work with clay, to the advanced artist refining their skill. The only “cost” to be a member is time and participation in clay classes. Every student is a member; it is simply a matter of getting involved.
All the students/artists at ACW are invited to get involved. Becoming a member not only supports the Clay Collective's mission and vision, but also complements student experience in the clay community. Members have access to the following:
- Artist Community: join a community of artists and art lovers. Connect with and learn from artists who are beginners, hobbyists, professionals, collectors, educators, and all around ceramic enthusiasts.
Shape Community: members are invited to participate in Roswell Clay Collective meetings, are given voting rights, and are eligible to serve on Committees or on the Board.
“Works in Clay”: students can showcase and sell their ceramic pieces at two large annual Roswell Clay Collective “Works in Clay” ceramic shows. These shows assist the Collective in raising funds to improve the facility as well as enhance the student/artist experience.
Exhibition Opportunity: members are invited to enter the yearly juried show/exhibit, where ceramic art is viewed and critiqued by local ceramic art professionals.
Additional Educational Opportunities: the Clay Collective believes in sparking creativity through education, exploration, and collaboration. Throughout the year, the Clay Collective sponsors workshops featuring local artists, as well as artists from around the country.
Gallery Exhibits: members are invited to attend all gallery exhibits at Art Center West, opening a world of art for students and artists. Multiple gallery exhibits are held each year at ACW, spotlighting local and area artists.
