Distanced Study, Virtual &
Independent Study Options
Students will develop their artistic voice through personal investigation while working with clay independently from home. They will have the opportunity to seek guidance via email and elective meetings peppered throughout the session. Guidance will focus on technical or aesthetic problem-solving issues they may have with their projects. They may also use this time to seek technical advice in setting a studio up at home. Glaze time and wheel rentals are available at an additional cost. Both must be scheduled with the ACW supervisor.
Virtual classes are a great option to stay creative while staying safe during the pandemic. Our new virtual classes are conducted live with our instructors using Zoom. So all you need is some clay, a webcam and you are good to go.
This program allows intermediate to advanced students time in the studio to complete desired projects outside the structure of a formal class. Students continue to grow by applying knowledge gained through prior coursework.
